6. 2 Corinthians 6
7. Psalm 33
Our prayers:
-
O LORD our God, please help us to consciously follow You with undivided hearts, knowing that only You can truly satisfy our every desire and not the futile enticements of the world.
-
Everlasting Father, as we witness the increase of Godlessness in our communities and our nations, even in our families and amongst our neighbours, let us with ever more zeal be sharers of The Truth, bearers of Your Light and doers of Your Word.
-
Faithful Saviour, Supreme Sovereign, Master of the Universe, Lord of the Starfields, how unfathomable are the riches of Your magnificent works, how tremendously blessed we are to behold the wonders of Your creation, how privileged we are to glimpse Your glory. We are so deeply, deeply humbled when we recognize the measure of our unworthiness to receive Your precious and gracious gift of salvation through our Messiah Jesus Christ. Help us, O LORD our God, to so honour You with our daily living, choices, thoughts, words, and actions that we may strive ever more to be the sons and daughters that You created us to be.
-
Our LORD Jesus Christ said, "You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled under foot (Matthew 5:13). Let us be thoughtful, cautious, and serious about our Saviour's statement so that we are more aware of this blessing and this dire warning, lest we become useless to the LORD our God.
-
Let us recall what we are told in Hebrews 5:8 about our LORD Jesus Christ during His time on earth; "Although He was a Son, He learned obedience through what He suffered." Our faithful Father in heaven, please strengthen us in the things You allow us to suffer and let us see hardships not as things to avoid, but opportunities to become more and more the people You desire us to be in You.
